Comments:
This bike has been a great "learner" for two of our kids and is still going strong (ours is an '08 model, but it looks identical to the others here). Well made and very durable (sorry to hear about the other reviewer - Ours still has the fenders and chain guard in great shape after countless uses). It outlasted our kids! We have a 16" and 20" Jet waiting for them each to grow into and I'm sure they'll be just as good.

We got this for our 2 1/2 year old who was constantly asking for a bike with pedals after his run style bike. Within a week he could ride this one with no problem, was one of the smaller 12" bikes for stand over and such, but just as much growth as the taller ones. Super durable, stable and all around great! After many crashes and tumbles this bike still looks like new. We have used it for over 6 months now and still love this bike, truly built to last. This bike has seen jumps, curbs, skateparks and everything now, you can spend less and get a bike that falls apart, or spend the money and get something that will take anything your kid can throw at it.

Comments:
Our three year old loves this bike. It's very very sturdy and does not tip easily (due to its weight). We live in a rural area and the bike does very well on dirt and gravel as well as pavement. We're extremely satisfied with our purchase and would highly recommend this bike.

Comments:
We purchased a few tricycle bikes and push with your feet bikes, and I feel that this bike is safer than any "toddler" riding toy. Our tricycle falls over sideways- very unsafe. This Trek Jet 12 doesn't knock over even if I push it. I think it is heavy, however, I LOVE THAT IT IS HEAVY for that reason- it will not fall over easily! Our 2 year old son can even ride it on bumpy grass with out a problem!

Comments:
Bought this bike for our 2 year old's first bike. He is now turning 4 and we have adjusted it to it's seat height limit. He is tall for a 4 year old, so you'll get at least 2 probably 3 years out of the bike. The gearing is perfect for little ones. He can climb hill way beyond what I would expect. A little heavy, but is extremely rugged and able to withstand the punishment only toddlers can dish out. You can't go wrong with this one. We are now passing it down to his 2 year old brother and purchasing the one of the three Trek 16" bikes this spring. You'll be sold on Trek after this one.
