Tires and inner tubes are new, seat clamp bolt and nut are what Schwinn supplied with a child carrier which was attached to this bike at one time. Grips, Saddle, Pedals, Handlebars, Seatpost, wheels etc. are all original. This bike has been completely overhauled and stripped to the frame. Head, bottom bracket, front hub and 2-speed hub have all been rebuilt. Original equipment fenders with complete braces and rear "S" logo reflector are included. The serial number is 6560691063. If this bike started it's life as a complete bike from Cannondale (in contrast to a frame set), we believe this bike may have been originally outfitted with tubular rims and down-tube shifters. The bike has a 7-speed Dura-Ace drivetrain and is equipped with Dura Ace 8-speed STI shifter. The spacing of the 8-speed shifters lines up with the spacing of the 7-speed cassette and shifting is crisp. Wheels are likely not OEM for compete bike spec, however they are period appropriate and are desirable in their own right. Rims are Campagnolo clinchers with Shimano 600 hubs. Front and rear wheels match in all respects. Other than the hubs, the balance of the grouppo is Shimano Dura-Ace. Bars and stem are Cinelli, saddle is a Concor, pedals are Shimano (Ultegra grade) SPD-SL, PD-7401 pedals. Bike may have been purchased as a frame set and custom built which would explain the period appropriate, but non-catalog component departures from the complete bike specifications from Cannondale.
